The heaven on the earth - Ooty

The beauty of Ooty is beyond speech and is the most picturesque city surrounded with beautiful nature, colorful houses, gardens and tea estates.

It was May, summer time with very pleasant weather in Ooty. This is the best time to visit Ooty as flowers at world famous Ooty garden and Rose Garden blossom only during May. We chose Holidayzone tour operators, which has the best package with 3 days stay from Chennai, which included in and onward journey from Chennai, 3 days stay, city tours and food. The total package price was around $400 per couple.

It was a pleasant day that we started our journey from Chennai and proceeded towards Mettupalayam. Then we are greeted by a assigned driver, who then drove us to the top of ooty. It took around 3 hours to reach our hotel lake view. We then took some rest and then started our sightseeing beginning with Ooty lake. We paid around Rs. 500 for entrance and activities within the lake.

On 2nd day, a relaxing morning, we visited a world famous Ooty garden, Sims park and Ooty rose garden, the beauty of which is beyond imagination. We wandered and rested for a few hours in the garden.

On 3rd day, we drove to Coonoor Tea Estate and witnessed the tea leaves making process and chocolate making process.

how can we miss out on the opportunity to travel by toy train :) On the same day, we traveled by toy train to Mettupalayam. It was a relaxing and mind blowing experience.
