Palak (#Spinach) & Methi (#fenugreek) leaves fritter is an Indian especially #konkani mouth watering #recipe that combines the vibrant colour of Palak (spinach) and methi with a dash of Indian #spices. This blog takes you through the mouth watering recipe.


Palak (Spinach) is a classy #healthy food. It is loaded with tons of #nutrients in a low-calorie package. Dark, #leafy greens like spinach are important for skin, hair, and bone #health. They also provide #protein, #iron, #vitamins, and #minerals.


Fenugreek leaves are acclaimed worldwide for the cure of #arthritis. If fenugreek leaves are consumed twice daily, it flushes out all the waste from the body and also cleanses the #intestines. The important vitamins and nutrients that fenugreek leaves contains are folic acid, thiamin, vitamins A, B6 and C, riboflavin, and niacin.


The dashing combo of these leaves in this recipe will not only improve your #taste bud but also help you improve your health.


Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:


· Spinach (Palak) finely chopped - 2 cups

· Methi (Fenugreek) leaves finely chopped - 1 cup

· 2 #onions finely sliced

· #Rice flour - 1 cup

· #Maida - 1/2 cup

· #Oil to fry (as needed)

· #Salt (as per taste)

· 2 tbsp chilly powder

· 1 tbsp coriander powder

· Cooking soda - very small pinch


Instructions:


  • Wash and cut the spinach, methi leaves, onions and keep it for later use.

  • Mix rice flour, maida, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder and cooking soda powder in a bowl

  • Add little water and mix to make a thick batter

  • Drop the finely chopped spinach, methi leaves, onions into the batter and leave for 5 minutes

  • Heat oil in a pan on a medium flame

  • Flatten it lightly and keep it aside

  • When the oil is hot, drop the flattened batter and fry until its golden brown.


You can serve this dish with #tomato ketch up or #pudina chutney. This tastes amazing..
