A perfect metropolitan city is incomplete without weekend getaways nearby to escape the madness of hectic metro life. The significance of taking mini-breaks and looking for one day outings near London has escalated rapidly over the last few years. The hectic work life calls for some semblance of balance and undue pressure of deadlines make the lungs of the mind scream out for fresh air. Durdle door or Lulworth Cove is one of the beautiful scenic places which will make you escape the mundane of hectic work life (#vacation).

Durdle Door (#durdledoor) or Lulworth Cove is situated in a small county called Dorset. Dorset is a county in South West England on the English Channel coast. This is situated around 100 miles away from London, which is almost 2:30 hours train journey from London. There are many train options available to commute from London to Bournemouth. We recommend South western railway (#travel) which takes you from Waterloo to Bournemouth with 2:30 hours. The per person ticket price for adult is £30 -£95(depending upon season). For more information, you can visit https://www.rome2rio.com/map/London/Bournemouth.

From Bournemouth (#bournemouth), we booked a half day tour with discover dorset. This will cost you around £25 per person for adult. For more information, you can visit https://discoverdorset.co.uk/lulworth-cove-and-durdle-door-2/

Durdle Door (sometimes written Durdle Dor) is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset, England. With scenic view of cave and water, you can indulge in outdoor activities such as hiking (#hiking), water boat, kayaking (#kayaking) etc. We both spent our entire day diving into adventurous activities mainly speed boat. Also, as this area of outstanding natural beauty offers breathtaking scenery (#nature) all year round, you can just relax or take a short walk.

There are many cafes, restaurants (#restaurants) such as Boat Shed Cafe, available nearby to taste the local food (#food). Also you can take a lunch box from home as its perfect for a day outing.
